How we score
Five fixed sources, snapped weekday mornings through day+6. Hard grades on 0/1/3/4; soft far-out on 5–7. Mesonet preferred for actuals, airport backup.
- Temperature: high and low within 2°F = hit.
- Rain (hard): PoP ≥50% counts as a rain call. Measurable precip is ≥0.01". Match = hit.
- Rain (soft): raw PoP kept for a quieter probability score over time. Timing and amounts stay in notes.
- Boards: hard ranks for 0-day, 1-day, 3-day, and 4-day. Days 5–7 are snapped and scored on a separate soft far-out board (thin skill, not the main trophy)—useful when everyone agrees early and only diverges later.
